Playing games over the internet? Then MyIPAddress is the utility for you.
If you play games over the internet then you know what a hassle it can be when you are going to host a game and need to give your IP address to your fellow players. You have to open your TCP/IP control panel, write down your IP address, and then retype the IP address for your fellow players. MyIPAddress is a small application which will now do all of this for you.
MyIPAddress looks up your current IP address and then copies it to your clipboard. To use it all you have to do is place the utility into your “Apple Menu Items” folder. Then when someone asks you for your IP address all you have to do is select MyIPAddress from the Apple Menu. MyIPAddress will instantly look up the address and copy it to the clipboard. Then select paste from the edit menu or use the keyboard shortcut cmd-v. It’s that simple.

3. Bugs and Conflicts
If you select the “Open application on connect...” feature of FreePPP Setup and specify MyIPAddress as the application to open upon connect a crash may occur. The solution for now is to “Just Don’t Do It!” Also note that if you have the “Allow applications to open connection” feature of FreePPP Setup selected and you run MyIPAddress while no PPP connection is open, MyIPAddress will cause FreePPP to open a PPP connection and once the connection is established MyIPAddress will copy the established IP address to the clipboard.

4. Revision History
Version 1.01 fixes a bug that would cause the mislocation of the decimal points when the second group of numbers was in the single digits. This bug was found by Tyler Hinkle and we are all eternally beholden to him. Thanks Tyler!
